Nettie the Chick (Sharing Personal Information Online )

The story ‘Nettie the Chick makes sure personal information is secure!’ teaches children in a fun, age appropriate way, about what information should be kept safe and secure and not shared online.

After watching the video, children can recap the knowledge they have learnt in the interactive game ‘Help Nettie the Chick Choose Which Information to Share Online!’ . Download your free copy of the game here (Please note, it will download in PowerPoint and then for children to play, you simply put it into slideshow mode).

Tag the Bear (Identifying situations online where help should be sought from a trusted adult)

The story ‘Tag the Bear, Asks Someone Who Will Care’ explores a variety of situations that children may encounter online, where they should seek help from a trusted adult. It builds on the concepts surrounding a safety network and trusted adults which children have already developed an understanding of in our networkED unit.

‘Tag the Bear, Asks Someone Who Will Care’  Story WITH INTERACTIVE COMPONENTS, AgeS 5 +

We have developed two versions of Tag’s story. One is for younger children, and the other is for ages 5 and above. The story is the same, however the primary difference is that the one for ages 5 and above, has an interactive component, where children are asked to help Tag make safe choices.
