We’ve got an incredible team of freedom fighters who are spending the month of June Moving for Freedom in order to raise funds for liberatED.
Throughout the month, the liberatED team will be virtually covering the distance of 1,474km, and travelling from Bucharest, Romania to Bern, Switzerland. We will be sharing virtual postcards of where we’ve travelled to along the way, and updating our map so you can see where we’re at!
Why did we choose this route? With Romania remaining a primary source country for sex and labour trafficking victims in Europe, we decided to use a route that traffickers might take Romanian men, women and children on. It’s not just Switzerland that people are being trafficked to, it happens internally within Romania, and other countries, and people are trafficked into many other European countries too!
